Scope and content: A volume containing a record of complaints, hearings, medical examinations documenting the state's administration of crippled children. The records begin with a complaint to the probate court, filed by an individual, requesting that the state properly administer and order decisions regarding childcare because the parents are not able to adequately care for their crippled child. Included are orders for a physician to examine the child with physician's names; medical examination results with diagnosis and recommended treatments; orders for hearings; orders for committing to a hospital; hospital expenses; and statements signed by parents granting permission of treatment.
