Scope and content: Microfilmed volumes entitled "Miscellaneous Record" maintained by the Marion County Register of Deeds. The volumes contain copies of a variety of records documenting property ownership, rental, military records, legal records, naturalization, and bonded employee records. The more recently dated volumes primarily contain oil and gas leases between property owners and oil and gas companies looking to secure the right to mine such natural resources. Other property records include rental agreements and warranty deeds. The volumes also contain legal documents such as hearings in the district court of bankruptcy cases, as well as probate and circuit court records documenting estate administration. Included are copies of wills and final testaments. The earlier volumes contain military discharge records, performance bonds for county employees, and naturalization records including declarations of intention. The volumes are organized by date and indexed by surname.
