Amy Bickel of Hutchinson and Kathy Hanks of Virginia jointly present this profile of William Allen White’s granddaughter, Barbara White Walker, from her London Blitz adoption in 1940, to her editing THE EMPORIA GAZETTE family newspaper in Kansas. Mrs. Walker, who gave the historic Red Rocks family home and contents to the citizens of Kansas, died in March 2023. Join us on the porch of Red Rocks.
