Contents: Tells of a group of 5 whites who had stolen 8 horses belonging to a party of Potawotomies, and then ambushed them killing one and wounding one; the Indians returned fire, killing two whites. They offered themselves up to Col. Kearney. Daugherty states he believes the Indian's story and mentions that the 5 whites were of questionable morals. He also mentions white unrest with all Indians in Missouri.
