Contents: Informs Harvey that he has received confirmation on his bid to deliver supplies to Osage Indians. States his bid was submitted Feb. 10, 1845 and that he had given up on securing the bid, plus the original agreement called for deliverance to the Missouri River landings, not inland to the Osages. Also freight rates have risen. States he will decline doing anything in this matter.

Street is probably correct. War between Sock and Foxes and Sioux not yet general. Indian Agents at the Sioux, St. Peters, Prairie du Chein and Rock Island (agencies) have been instructed to effect a peace if possible. No other intertribal problems.
