Scope and content: Series includes a variety of naturalization and citizenship related documents pertaining to Nemaha County residents between 1929-1946. The records include a 1942 order consolidating naturalization jurisdiction in the 22nd District, awarding the jurisdiction to Brown County and removing it from Nemaha and Donipha counties. Also included are Citizen Petition Granted forms listing petition number and name of petitioners for citizenship, and includes a certification card for each individual stating name, residence, date certification issues, court location, and their signature. The series includes applications of oaths of allegiance forms under the Act of June 25, 1936 for women who may have lost citizenship due to marital status. The remaining records are declarations of intention and related correspondence.
