Scope and content: A letter of resignation on January 9, 1869, from Case Broderick as Justice of Peace because he accepted the appointment as Probate Judge of Jackson County. In the letter, Broderick recommends William O. Perkins as his successor. A letter from Jackson County Commissioners notifies Kansas Governor Harvey a new township was organized, and requests John Marshall be appointed as Justice of Peace. A petition from citizens of Rock Creek Township in Jefferson County asks that George M. Dix be appointed as Justice of Peace.
