Scope and content: A letter to Kansas Governor Harvey from D. C. Skinner informs that he is qualified to perform the duties of Justice of Peace of Lincoln County. A petition from citizens of Liberty Township in Linn County request William H. Seymour elected as the Justice of Peace. A resignation letter from Amos Harrison as Justice of Peace of Blue Mound Township in Linn County. In the letter, Harrison recommends L. N. Harrison to fill the position. Additional documents are letters and petitions from citizens of townships of Lincoln or Linn County, suggesting to the Governor individuals they desire to have appointed as Justice of Peace.
