"Dress to the Colors: American Civil War Battle Flags" - Boone Dodson

This talk highlights the importance of flags on the American Civil War battlefield. Dodson explores the history of the flags and the significance to the soldiers carrying and fighting under them. He will share flags from the collection of the Kansas Historical Society, many of which are in need of conservation. Dodson will highlight what has been and must still be done to preserve them for future generations to admire and remember the men who fought beneath their folds.
