Kansas Historical Society - Hours and directions
Our business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome during this time. Masks are recommended but not required. Our safety procedures include frequent cleaning, plexiglass shields at check-in points, and physical distancing. The Covid-19 vaccination clinic is not available at this location. Open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday; Museum Store: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday. The Discovery Place is not available at this time. 785-272-8681, ext. 415
Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center
Open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday; Capitol Store: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday. 785-296-3966
Historic tours and self-guided tours are available. Dome tours resume June 1, 2022.
State Archives
The State Archives are open Wednesday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m and the last Saturday of the month 9 a.m. - 12 p.m by appointment. Restricted to six researchers at a time. To schedule an appointment, contact Lauren Gray, lauren.gray@ks.gov; 785-272-8681, ext. 284.
