Effective June 14: Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center: Open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday. The Capitol Store hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.


  • Historic: Monday - Friday 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
  • Historic: Saturday 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
  • No dome tours are available at this time

Please follow these driving directions to the parking lot on the north side of the building instead of your GPS.

Entering the building


  • Underground parking garage entrance is located on 8th Avenue between Harrison and Van Buren, open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday
  • Off street parking available on 8th Avenue
  • Alternative parking available in the Kansas Judicial Center lot for all types of vehicles, including buses, campers, trailers, and fifth wheels
  • Capitol driving and parking information (PDF)


  • Lettuce Feed You Capitol Cafe & Snack Bar is open 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday - Friday
