Read Kansas! Primary - P-04 Family Animals Reading Historic Photographs
This is an introductory lesson in using primary sources, in this case historical photographs. Kindergarten students will be introduced to how you “read” a photograph and will be asked to write a caption for the photograph. They will compare and contrast the lives of children living in Kansas in the past with their lives today. The lesson can be completed in two or three sessions. Select each image to see a PDF with the front and back of each card.
